Target has introduced Jovovich - Hawk as it's 10th GO International designers. If you remember I profiled the clothing line in 2006 and now their modestly priced line will hit Target shelves March 2. Staying true to their vision of flowy fabrics and vintage inspired prints, Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk are sure to be a success for the limited edition Target brand.

Agent Orange

Debuting the shorter haircut at the NRJ awards
Besides updating her new shorter 'do, Rihanna has been updating her wardrobe as well, glamming it up for New York Fashion Week.

W/Fergie
Ever the trendsetter, Rihanna appeared at two shows wearing bright orange pumps which lends great contrast to her black outfits.

Guess $93.95

Anthropologie $328

As a fan of brights, I like, I like. It adds a pop of color against the neutrals and makes a statement.

NY Fashion Week: Tracy Reese
Uber-feminine designer Tracy Reese unveiled her Fall 2008 Ready to Wear collection at New York's fashion week. Tracy continued her girlie power anthem with silks and satins that play up to a woman's curves. For dresses, soft, muted colors dominated the collection with shots of autumnal greens and reds as well as copper and gold metallics. For the separates, Tracy mixed it up with unexpected combinations of fabrics and patterns, creating a line that girls from 16 to 60 can call their own.

Local Look: House of Dang!
Took a friend to one of my new Dallas haunts, House of Dang! a quirky shop that hosts vintage finds as well as new clothing and other items from local artisans. The owners, Doug and Andy are helpful and friendly and are also the designers for their clothing line, aptly named House of Dang! The vibe is definitely lounge worthy and unlike most vintage stores, the shop is uncluttered so that you are able to take it all in. There are bursts of color everywhere, from the re-upholstered retro chairs to the jewelry and handbags seen throughout the store. You may stumble upon decorative baby onesies, bold button rings as well as eclectic home decor pieces. With new items arriving frequently there is always something unique to see at House of Dang!Friday, February 01, 2008
Site of the Week: 80s Tees
Did you grow up in the 80's? A fan of the (original) Knight Rider, Sixteen Candles or E.T? Now you can satisfy your want for the nostalgic times when Run DMC and Debbie Gibson ruled the charts and rock a tee from 80sTees.com. This fun site features tees with pre-printed sayings and logos such as Pac Man, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Dirty Dancing. (Remember, nobody puts baby in a corner, people.) But don't fret youngsters, this site also showcases tees from Napoleon Dynamite, Family Guy and Borat so as not to discriminate against the newbies. Paired with jeans and flats for days spent running errands, these are sure bets as conversation starters. Prices range from $4.99 for sale items up to $26. Visiting the site is good enough for the memories and laughs alone!
And don't forget the accessories:
Boombox pendant ($9.99) and door knocker earrings ($5.99) available at Girl Props

Yay or Nay: Drew Barrymore

Another Yay or Nay for Drew Barrymore. I personally love the look of this sleek Gucci dress, the off-the-shoulder look is both sexy and understated. Definitely something I would wear. BUT with breast petal covers!

Screen Actors Guild Awards 2008
The Screen Actor's Guild awards were held last night and celebrities actually showed up, unlike the Golden Globes. Best dressed hands down was America Ferrera of Ugly Betty. My jaw dropped when I saw how stunning she looked in her Monique Lhullier slate grey gown. They may have to change the name of the show if she keeps this up!

Also knocking me off my feet is Chandra Wilson of Grey's Anatomy. Dr. Bailey has performed a successful procedure with her red carpet ready look. I suspect she had the help of a stylist this time around, but whatever works!

Needing help STAT are Chandra's Grey's cohorts Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh:

Ellen Pompeo, you get back in there this instant and steam that dress! Not the best choice of fabric, Grey.
Oh, Sandra. Yang trying to gift wrap herself and mail to Dr. Burke perhaps? He would return to sender if this showed up on his doorstep.

Honorable Mentions:
Debra Messing

Keisha Whitaker

Eva Longoria

Taraji P. Henson

Tichina Arnold

Vanessa Williams looking loads better than the last award show she was profiled on.

Cleaning up nicely, Tina Fey from 30 Rock
And her 30 Rock co-star Jane Krakowski seems to be channeling a sea urchin by the mass of what looks to be ocean floor plant life on her chest:

All in all, more hits than misses at the SAGs (Or am I award show deprived?)
