On the mark

Target has introduced Jovovich - Hawk as it's 10th GO International designers. If you remember I profiled the clothing line in 2006 and now their modestly priced line will hit Target shelves March 2. Staying true to their vision of flowy fabrics and vintage inspired prints, Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk are sure to be a success for the limited edition Target brand.

NY Fashion Week: Tracy Reese

Uber-feminine designer Tracy Reese unveiled her Fall 2008 Ready to Wear collection at New York's fashion week. Tracy continued her girlie power anthem with silks and satins that play up to a woman's curves. For dresses, soft, muted colors dominated the collection with shots of autumnal greens and reds as well as copper and gold metallics. For the separates, Tracy mixed it up with unexpected combinations of fabrics and patterns, creating a line that girls from 16 to 60 can call their own.

Local Look: House of Dang!

Took a friend to one of my new Dallas haunts, House of Dang! a quirky shop that hosts vintage finds as well as new clothing and other items from local artisans. The owners, Doug and Andy are helpful and friendly and are also the designers for their clothing line, aptly named House of Dang! The vibe is definitely lounge worthy and unlike most vintage stores, the shop is uncluttered so that you are able to take it all in. There are bursts of color everywhere, from the re-upholstered retro chairs to the jewelry and handbags seen throughout the store. You may stumble upon decorative baby onesies, bold button rings as well as eclectic home decor pieces. With new items arriving frequently there is always something unique to see at House of Dang!

House of Dang is located at 4219 Bryan St.

Paired with jeans and flats for days spent running errands, these are sure bets as conversation starters. Prices range from $4.99 for sale items up to $26. Visiting the site is good enough for the memories and laughs alone!
