Love and Kindness

As I've been furiously writing in my journal about my goals, hopes and accomplishments for the upcoming year, I have been reflecting on the past year of my life.

I have definitely had more ups than downs this past year and I believe it's because I chose to focus on what is good in my life. I still have my moments,

there are days that I feel lower than a snail's stomach and things still on my to-do list seem a mile long but I want to focus more on appreciating the life that I have, to being a blessing to others and to truly discover my life's meaning. Sappy? I thought so too but I mean it.

 Sometimes we focus so much on the superficial stuff that we tend to forget that none of it seems to matter in the grand scheme of things. That we are meant to live this life with love and kindness.
