In The Fashionista's Closet: Classroom Cutup

I debated about doing a post, nothing too inspiring going on with my outfit and location but I figured something was better than nothing.

Trying to get everything ready for school has left me time for little else but decorating my room and lesson plans.

I never thought about how much work goes into decorating to create an inviting learning environment but I'll never look at a classroom the same way again. My co-workers laugh as they see me put up something and stand back an inspect my work. I must admit that I am anal in my execution but I approach this in the same way that I decorate my home.

I have been watching the first two seasons of Mad Men in between cutting out items for my room. I started watching last season and fell in love with the fashions as well as the storylines. Who knew that they were doing so much back in the 60's and that scoundrel Don Draper is SO dashing!

Now I have to go. I've been dreaming of butcher paper, wall border and stenciled letters all night....

Shirt: Zara
Nceklace: Aldo
Jeans: 7 For All Mankind
Bag: Marshalls
Shoes: Michael Kors

Thanks for reminding me to put Mad Men in my netflix queue. I have been trying to get into that show for at least a year but I don't have cable (#Fail).

Anyway, that orange blouse is so vivid and pretty!

Ahh, the joys of decorating a classroom. It can definitely be more time consuming than one could ever imagine! I am sure your class will be welcoming and stylish! :)

Ahhhh memories!
I was a Teacher's Assistant Extrodiare for YEARS as I worked my way though college. I remember assisting with decorating and arranging furniture in the classrooms I worked in. I was also lured in to help a teacher friend ever other year with a free dinner!
What grade do you teach?

I love to fix up my classroom every year. I teach high school, but my Grandma taught little ones for 41 years so I LOVE bulletin boards and typically have the best ones around. We need to swap ideas :)))

My teachers didn't look like you and Gods Favorite Shoes when I was in school. This is some bull! That is why the kids ain't learnin! The two (2) of you sashaying around looking all too cute for work and crap. Kids can't focus. Y'all need prayer!

I know a male teacher who is about 6'5", 215 lbs, and I bet he doesn't dress all super fly so the little girls can't focus. I'm just sayin.......
