Spectacular Vernacular

Although I've had some things that have made me smile (#LoveWins), I've debated about whether I was going to post about the recent going ons in the world that have made my smile turn upside down. I have had that heat up in my chest and had #FacebookWars with small minded people and although I am passionate about current events I've decided not to give any more power to the people who are trying to bring unhappiness into the world. I do however want everyone to stay actively engaged in meaningful conversations about things that affect our world. 

(But don't listen to Don Lemon. He is pissing me off.)

I saw this quote during an episode of "Being Mary Jane" and promptly dismissed it. I wasn't sure if I agreed with the premise of thinking that people will hurt you and the idea of suffering for someone.

After my People/Bic For Her photo shoot I had the opportunity to meet up with Audrey of Miss Moon's Musings for some tasty adult beverages, great conversation and lots of laughs. Audrey and I met in person during my last visit to NYC so I was excited to see her again. And when I tell you Audrey gives good voice, I mean it! She has the BEST voice, it's all soothing and seductive and stuff. And her stories about her job literally had me in tears. #TeamAudrey #BrooklynInTheHouse

A Welcome Break

I am thoroughly enjoying my Christmas Break. I stayed a couple of days at my home away from home (Houston, for those of you who didn't know) which as usual was filled with lots of laughs, good times and bacon (mustn't forget the bacon!) I'm now spending a few days at my mom's house and kissing on my niece.
