In The Fashionista's Closet: The Color of Gratitude

So....school has started. And I am exhausted. I feel as though I've been in a fight. AND I lost.
(I know that's hard to believe but bear with me.)
But I am so grateful.
This past week I have made sure to take a moment out of my day and say a prayer of gratitude for all that I have gone through to get me here.

I have had to learn (and use) patience, endurance, and rely on strength I didn't know I had over this past year and a half. To be still and listen to that voice in my head. And to be grateful....

Even in the midst of things.

Dress: Thrifted and gifted by Reiko
Earrings: Forever 21
Shoes: Guess

I want to thank everyone who has been there for me, encouraged me and been a listening ear when I have needed it.

And in other news:
I had to go over some parts of the student handbook with my students and in the electronic devices section it said no pagers were allowed. I read it and had to explain what pagers were to the kids and one of them said they saw one on a movie that they watched, lol. Then someone asked, "Well how did you know people's phone numbers?" I laughed really hard at having to explain that yes there was a time when people actually MEMORIZED phone numbers and people didn't have cell phones. They were stunned...

Isn't that something? Do you know my 12 year old asked me for change the other day so she could use a payphone. I was like WHY? She responded "I've never used one before". Talk about making me feel old.

I love your dress. Gingham is one of my fave prints. You look adorable.

Great look! The dress would also look FAB with a bright belt....

You look so pretty in that dress. Your hair looks really nice as well. LOL at the kids no knowing what a pager is. That just made me feel really old! LOL

The first week can be really exhausting! If He brought you this far, you know He can (and will) take you farther.

To think I once had a pager...and used pay phones. I still make the effort to memorize some people's phone numbers. Lol

Lovely dress. Cute shoes! Dainty earrings. :)

Yellow is very pretty on you. And this year is already bananas. I haven;t started yet because my mom passed so I have had a sub for two weeks and I was told that one of my students said my handwriting was sexy. Ughhhh

Het JB,
I'm just as slow as your students on technology. I just realized, out of all your posts I've read and enjoyed, that I can comment! I have loved all your looks and your additional words to accompany them. Now I will comment individually. SLOW Suzann. :)

LMAO...PAGERS!! I still have one. My last job gave us pagers and when they became obsolete, I never bothered to turn it in. And they never asked...their bad...lol.

I feel your pain! I went back to work and the kids started last week. EVERYDAY I CAME HOME AND TOOK A NAP!!
