In The Fashionista's Closet: Green with Gratitude

I attended church with Reiko last Sunday and it was a good time. Can I say that? The men's choir sang a song that had me swaying in my seat, it was a cross between Bobby Blue Bland (look him up) and a (clean) version of Clarence Carter (look him up too.)

Dress: H&M (one of my fave buys from my Atlanta trip)
Tights: Target (last year, I want some more but can't find them)
Clutch: DSW
Shoes: Michael Kors

Sunday's service was about being a good steward over little things and God will continue to bless you with more. I can definitely relate to this because I used to think that I never made enough money.

Whatever position I held was more money than the last (except subbing, that was a lesson in penny pinching) but it was never enough. But I realized that it wasn't the amount of money that I made, it was what I was choosing to do with what I had.

If you're not being responsible over what you currently have, then you'll never have enough or make enough to ever be satisfied.

So I hope to never lose sight of that even though I ALWAYS want new shoes, lol.

“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." Luke 16:10

I want to always be grateful....

That's a word! I'm grateful!

What a cute dress. I've been looking for some tights like that too with no luck. Hopefully we will score some soon. :-)

Juanette I love that you keep it real about everything. I went through a finance class years ago where the lady spoke about being a good steward and how God would not give you more, if you can't manage what you already have. I think of that often! I think about how our grandparents made due with much less than what I have!

I love the green dress! How come I never find anything cute in H and M, but you come for a few days and you do? lol I am going Black Friday thrifting:) So excited!

Great post! You two look so cute!! I love the word that was spoken at your church. I have remember to be a better steward over little things. We're blessed with so much and sometimes we forget that. I haven't been on your blog in a while. But I will not be missing anymore posts.

Amen! That is sometimes a tough pill to swallow because I am sure most people would like to "live comfortably," if not a life of luxury on some level. I may not always have extra funds to shop til I drop or travel as I would like, but I can be grateful that all of my bills are paid for the roof over my head, in addition to the food in my pantry! BTW, you look great in green! Love the shoes!
