Takers

I am of the opinion that there are two kinds of people in this world, "Givers" and "Takers". I would like to fancy myself as a giver (who doesn't?) but I know that I have also been a taker at times, not giving enough in return. I have been praying the prayer that I want to be a blessing to others, I want to live my life as a giver. I believe that people give in different ways; we give with our knowledge, our service  and our hearts.
I would like to say that I know more Givers than Takers but I think some of us take and take and never put anything back into what we are constantly receiving. It is easy to take others for granted, you think that person is just always there but never give thought that they need someone to be a Giver to them. We all need to refuel and recharge and be taken care of sometimes. Or just to feel appreciated.

We did an activity at work last week where we had notecards on our tables during a staff meeting and you were asked to write a note to someone who had helped you that week. I love that idea. We sometimes need to stop and take inventory of those who have helped us whether it is big or small, it may be just what the person needs to know that they are not giving in vain.

That's a great reflective exercise...I think I am learning to be a better giver now that I am more involved in non profit organizations and actively participate in giving back to the community. Of course there are other ways we can give back as well.

I love your cute, casual outfit!
