A Welcome Break

I am thoroughly enjoying my Christmas Break. I stayed a couple of days at my home away from home (Houston, for those of you who didn't know) which as usual was filled with lots of laughs, good times and bacon (mustn't forget the bacon!) I'm now spending a few days at my mom's house and kissing on my niece.

Here are some of my thoughts as of late....

I think that one day I will either be interviewed by Dateline or have my life featured on Dateline. I tell people during conversations (usually rachet) "Don't talk about that on Dateline if they interview you about me." I kinda hope that I'm interviewed on Dateline about someone else and not featured since the stories they feature are usually about people who've been killt. Or have done something shady. And I wants no parts of that. But I love me some Dateline. So y'all don't disclose my secrets....

There are only a few people that I know who still regularly watch Saturday Night Live. My friend Bethany and my mom are some of those few. My mom texted me and asked me if I watched SNL with Martin Short because there was a sketch that reminded her of me. So I watched it and was oh so familiar with what she was talking about.
It was the guy in the red sweatsuit from the "What Up With That Sketch":

"Oooooowhhheee, what's up with that? What's up with that?!" #hilarity #DancingForNoReason

Just like Jason Sudeikis, I too do a mean running man. I will bust a move or break out singing at the drop of a hat. Hence my love of my hip hop class.

I am counting the days, hours and minutes until Scandal, The Good Wife and Nashville come back on. Especially Scandal. Olivia Pope and nem got me out here like Pookie from New Jack City.
"It just be calling me, man!"

I think that God will sometimes send you a sign that some people are exactly what you need them to be exactly when you need them to be to reinforce your belief that people are good. And decent. And kind. I like that. And I'm grateful for the reminder.

Hope everyone had a phenomenal holiday!

Also, don't feel bad about watching SNL. My boyfriend is a faithful watcher, lol. I'm even getting into it myself!
