Too cute or over the top?
VIA belted wool trench $158

"Spring"ing into action

While all of the stores are clearing out their winter merchandise, my thoughts have already turned to Spring.
I went to Anthropologie yesterday (and found the cutest dress for 40 bucks, I might add) and I definitely liked what I saw. These photos don't do justice to the dresses, the colors are much more vivid.
Ring Around dress $168; Yuma dress $148

Feeling blah? Brighten things up with a colorful handbag.

Chloe "Edith" satchel $1,020 @ Bluefly; Kate Spade "London Keiran" bag $415

Christian Louboutin "Seersocket" t-strap sandals $384

Too soon for Spring? I think not. (Stay tuned)

Victoria's "Other" Secret

Victoria's Secret isn't just for lingerie anymore. Their site and catalogs also offer brand name shoes, dresses and long length (34" inseam) pants. Some of the stuff is kind of skanky "I am/used to be a stripper" (gold sequin over the knee boots!) but they also have some great things at reasonable prices.

Donna Morgan button neck dress $89; Sweetees empire dress $89

Cutout pump 2 for $80

Marisa fit cargo pant $58; Bridget fit cuffed tab waist pant $39.50

Matte jersey tie back dress $69

Peep toe pump $48

Striped wrap dress $98;Kanika Cruz by Nikka ruffled dress $149.99

A.B.S. by Allen Shwartz scoopneck dress (my fave!) $179

*Pssst* Vicky's is also having their bra and panty semi-annual sale so go get a free bra fitting and shop away.

Smart Fitzjerrell

Saw this post over at I Like Her Style and wanted to spread the word on this NYC designer. A fellow Southerner, Mary Kathryn Wells designs clothes with traditional style elements but uses fun colors, unexpected patterns and beautiful fabrics for a unique look.

Only learning to sew in 2004 after a week spent at her grandparents, but having a great sense of style before that, Mary Kathryn decided to leave her job in public education and pursue her passion. (A woman after my own heart!) Smart Fitzjerell's premier line debuts Spring/Summer 2007.

Yea or Nay?

Okay, forget the white sandals shown in this pic *ewwww!* and concentrate on the skirt.

I think that this skirt from pinkflakes.com would be a great focal piece of an outfit with a slim fitting tank and high heeled sandals. What is your take, too busy or fun and flirty? (Skirt, also available in black $62 on sale)

Purses Boutique

It's all about the bag at Purses Boutique. Some cute styles are available, great prices but I would want to see them in person to judge the quality of the bags. Don't find what you're looking for? The Boutique also has an online fashion guide with other purse websites, clothing and general fashion sites. Very nice of them, dontcha think?

Dark kelly green clasp satchel $29.95 (on sale); Large cognac "Freda" satchel purse $34.95

Red "Nikki" satchel purse; Black "Zoe" hobo $29.95

Red "Belinda" clutch purse $29.95 (my fave!)

What tha?!?!?

What is going on with Be? I let her make it with the skating outfit that she wore on Oprah to promote Dreamgirls but she looks like a glorified waitress in this outfit that she wore on TRL. This needs to go to the House of Don't Ever Do That Again.

Piperlime

Piperlime is a fresh online shoe shop from Gap, Inc. When I first heard of this site, I thought that it was only shoes from Gap, but it has over 100 brands to choose from for men, women and children. Check these out:

I like that there are different brands on this site because then you can see so many unique shoes and this site is not as overwhelming as zappos.

The Office

Love my new office, everyone seems to have different looks and it gives me great style ideas for myself and for me to pass on to you. There are young, just graduated from college looks, something to prove thirty somethings, I'm in my professional prime forty somethings and I run this thing fifty somethings. I adore the funky vibe of the creative department, edgy haircuts, lots of color and one of kind outifts. The buyers and planners wear a lot of black with pops of color with their handbags or shoes. And the coordinators are more of the floaty tops and jeans with knee high boots.

My style can be a mix of all of the above, it depends on how I feel in the morning. I do think that I am known for being more bohemian chic, kimono style dresses with tights and boots or a big chunky silver necklace paired with a basic black turtleneck and pants. (Of course with magenta shoes or my new red handbag.)

Sparkle and Fade polka dot cami and Levi's outlaw skinny jean both from Urban Outfitters

Mia round toe boot and Marc Jacobs silk tie shirt (seen at Stained Couture)

Kenneth Cole turtleneck dresss and Anhropologie stowaway bag

Jimmy Choo Ramona leather tote and Diane vonFurstenberg suit

And EVERYONE has a pair of killer black pumps.
