In The Fashionista's Closet: Short and Sweet

I am working a second job again so I have been super busy and I really relish my time off these days. Which means I am not wasting my time with foolishness. People have been doing some shady things and think that I don't pick up on it but I'm not stupid, I'm just choosing to overlook it and will still treat them the same way. Someone told me that you move people around in your life according to what kind of friend they are to you but the trick is that they never know they have been moved to another area of your life. That's the hard part for me....

I was so tired today I considered taking a nap in the parking lot at McDonald's before I went to my second job. (I didn't want to take a nap in the parking garage, that would just be weird.)

Crop top: Thrifted
Pants: Diane von Furstenberg
Bag: Shopping party
Shoes: Nine West

you look beautiful as always

sorry about the shady stuff, don't allow them to dull your light or your shine. I think you got great advice on moving ppl where they belong. It also makes it easier to adjust your expectations ;)

Woweee, do you look stunning!!!!!!

I've always believed that people come into our lives sometimes to teach us how we can be at our best, and how we can be at our worse. It sounds like the shady folks in your life are teaching you the latter, and you're incredibly wise to shed them out of your life. Recognize the lesson, show gratitude for the blessing of knowledge and keep shining, my sister! :)

P.S. - I truly believe you are my fashion fairy godmother, because I was contemplating getting a swing jacket made out of wax print and couldn't conceptualize it... and lo and behold here you are with the EXACT inspiration I needed!! lol

Peace from Brooklyn!!

This is a look I need for a day in the classroom with the kids when I need to look like I am all business with a twist of happiness. Which is probably most days :) Teaching ain't easy!

Your smile warms every post. And darling take a nap anywhere. I sleep in the parking lot at work if necessary. It let's the parents know I really do work hard, lolol.
