In The Fashionista's Closet: Pretty Girl Decisions

I watched an episode of "The United States of Tara" and Tara's mother told her sister, "You're such a pretty girl. But you make ugly girl decisions." I laughed but that exchange resonated with me.
tunic/dress: gifted from Reiko
bag: Christmas gift (thanks Mom!)
necklaces: chain belts, Aldo
belt: Forever 21
jeans: 7 For All Mankind
shoes: BCBG

I find myself in situations that could be considered Ugly Girl decisions and when I say ugly, I don't mean in appearance but ugly as in displeasing. Ugly girl decisions are putting up with less than you deserve or participating in situations that are displeasing. Putting up with that job/man/situation that makes you feel "less than".

Being talked down to and not speaking up for yourself? Ugly girl decision. Actively participating in gossip and talking down to people? Ugly. Dealing with a liar, a cheater, or someone who doesn't appreciate you? You got it. Ugly ugly girl decisions.

So as of today, I vow to make Pretty Girl decisions, to expect more of myself and in turn only deal with those who treat me like the pretty girl that I am. How about you? Have you always made Pretty girl decisions, are you a reformed Ugly Girl or will you start being a Pretty Girl today too?

So if you're keeping up, you know that we're wearing our pretty panties and are now making pretty girl decisions.

Guess who I saw at Walmart today? Gabriel makes another appearance! Rhinestone studded eye patch? Check. Floor length jacket? Check.

 I love this guy!

It's hilarious to me that he never flinches or asks why I want to take his photo.....

@Passionsontopofpassions, he doesn't NEED to wear the eye patch, it was just an accessory for him! He cracks me up!

Well he has inspired me to bling out my bald head lol...But anywho, I am guilty of making ugly girl decisions in the past but as I grow older i try to make an effort to make my choices prettier :)

Is this the same guy with the dread hat?!? Why arent yall friends on facebook on something? I need yall to be friends!

And I was thinking that you should refer to me as your personal shopper from now on. I want my clothes back otherwise!

Just kidding...You know what would look fab with this outfit and those pants specifically...those Jessica Simpson "DANY" platforms!

And why didn't you include the "PRetty GIRLS ROCK" song on this post! I know WHY! Because you have a theory about that song that I will share with your followers if YOU DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I CALL YOU AGAIN!

Don't play with me! I gots' lots on ya' boo!

(laughing at myself!)

@Reiko #1. Yes that is the same GAbriel of dread hat fame. I don't think he cares about Facebook but he did give me his number. He seems to be on a whole nutha level.

#2. Umm ok, no prob with the Personal Shopper title, I want you to call yourself that. And you need to call me your stylist!

#3. Definitely felt a 70's vibe with this fit and the Dany's would be perfect but it was chilly yesterday so no open toe for me yet. (That's only you acting as if it's summatime in Houston)

#4. Lol I did think of the Pretty Girl Rock song and I was going to tell them my theory, but I thought it would take away from the message I was trying to convey. I have no secrets from my readers, lol!

Juanette even though Reiko gave you the dress you can just place it in my box:) I won't tell (wink) lol! Yall crack me up! I know one day I will end up meeting both of you:) You'll be major stylists by then, but I'll still expect the poor school teacher's fee:) I love that whole look, and the dread/patch guy! Only you could get him to let you take pics of him and post them up on your blog! Priceless!

@Necole, thankfully I have already sent your box so no dress, it's kinda cut high on the sides so I'm not sure you would want to wear it as a dress unless you just want to be "fast", lol. BUT you're short so it may work. You will always get the Fotki discount and you may be seeing me sooner rather than later, I spoke to Cherie the other night and I hope to get up that way by the summer!
