Pencil Thin

In case you haven't heard, Spain took on the fashion world by banning models that were too thin from Madrid Fashion Week. Models were required to have a Body Mass Index of at least 18 which is still below the range that is considered normal of 18.5 to 24.9. Organizers of the show said that they wanted "to promote an image of beauty and health." New York Fashion Week has no plans to follow suit. What are your thoughts, are models today too thin or is this issue blown out of proportion?

Hey, I think they all need to eat a sandwich, personally!!! No, but seriously...I think the image that is portrayed is not a healthy one and I don't think it is being blown out of porportion. I mean, Who looks like this other than someone who is in a hospital for an eating disorder!?! Its not healthy... and all for the sake of fashion! Go figure...

Some of them are absolutely too thin. This picture for instance. If this photo is not doctored in anyway, then it's ashame. She looks emaciated. My word!

Congratulations to Spain! I never could figure out how anyone would think that's sexy. :)
